Every year, an art show is held at Knotts Island.
A weekend is set aside for wildlife artists and crafters to gather and
display their wares. A good time is had by all who visit. You come too.
This page will help with most of the questions you have about your visit to

What is it?
This will be the
9th year
of the event. The name of the event just about says it all.
The Wildlife Arts Show is an annual celebration of the sporting and
wilderness tradition Knotts Island. For two days the
local school gymnasium is full of food and crafts vendors, sportsmen, and
visitors. Its practical function is that of a fund
raiser to support the community work done by the local Ruritan Club.

Who organizes it?
The
show is organized and run by the
volunteers of the Knotts Island
Ruritan Club. The club spends a better part of the year before
each event working to bring it all together. All proceeds benefit
the club and the work they do for the community of Knotts Island.

How much will it cost?
Parking is free.
At the door, there is a $5.00 admission fee (donation).
Children under 12 are admitted for free when accompanied by a paying adult. The admission will get you
into the Peach Festival too. As well, if you pay your admission to the
Peach Festival you may freely enter the Wildlife Show. One price for
two events. There is food and drink available for sale from various vendors and crafters
and artists have their goods for sale. The money you spend is for a
great cause and your help is greatly appreciated.

How do I get there?
There are so many people coming from so many
places that all the possible directions can't be listed here. The best
place to start is at Princess Anne Road in Virginia Beach. Once you're on Princess Anne Road, follow it
south all the way to Knotts Island. When you get to the island, take a
right at the first fork by the "Welcome Sign". Bear left at the market
and follow the road past Moonrise Bay Vineyard. At the Baptist Church,
start looking left for the elementary school. That's where the show is
being held.
Go here to
Map Quest for more
detailed directions. Just type in Knotts Island, NC as your
destination.
