Welcome to Knotts Island's Best Chat Room
This is an easy-to-use chat room. You just enter your nickname in the box provided. A little window comes up asking you if they can install a small program. The program is safe and free of viruses so tell it "Yes". Up comes a chat room. To enter the room, go to the bottom of the page but make sure your read all the stuff on the way down. It's very important. This chat room is hosted by an outside source. We checked them out and they seem to be a good web site but this office can't be responsible for any of their actions. If you have a complaint about the software, use the link under the chat room entry box to talk to them directly. If you feel that their policies or practices could harm our community, let us know with an e-mail. Always follow the well-known chat community safety rules. You know them by now. Don't give out any personal information at all. Be nice. If you don't know about online safety and security by now, don't use this or any other chat room until you do. Here is a site to help you learn about internet safety and help others too. Go to Wired Safety.com here. If you think you'd like to chat with folks from the island, go down and log in. There may be others in the room who aren't from the island but there's nothing anyone can do to stop that. THe Knotts Island Site is open to the public. Occasionally, we'll be monitoring the chat so be nice, have fun, and don't harass anyone. We'd hate to have to ban you from the room.
